 Now, why does this seem like an ENORMOUS pain in the arse compared to putting a significantly more efficient and significantly higher pressure blower on the thing? 
Condensing the water in the exhaust? Egads... Not these days!! Things have advanced more than a tad!!

A better solution would be to recover the water produced by the combustion of hydrocarbons (gasoline).  When you burn things that contain hydrogen you get, not surprisingly, H2O.  For every gallon of gasoline burned the engine produces roughly a gallon of water.  And you're unlikely to use that much water for water injection unless you're trying to set a new Bonneville record.  We could check with Tom K. and see how much he used for his 150+mph run (with gasoline), and his later 174 mph run (with propane).
