Daniel, and others, the reason that the Ignitor II and also the original HEI ignition by Delco Remy provide higher output at higher speeds relates to the increased dwell based on rpm, which attempts to increase the amperage to the coil to reach "saturation" of the magnetic field prior to interruption by the electronic version of "points", (the output transistor)....this is because there is less "dwell time" at higher rpm, so the coil cannot reach maximum output unless the dwell time is increased by the electronics of the modules.
