I only install the factory style pumps never electric - unless I'm going to
fuel injection...

An electric pump isn't rocket science to install (I've done a bunch of
them); no matter what anyone says, the drivability of the car is massively
enhanced (like an END to vapor-lock!); the cost is reasonable, at least
competitive with a mechanical; and with no identifiable "downsides"!  Res
ipsa loquitur.....why are we having this "discussion"?
