Best way to remove the emblem is to gently pry it up using a very small flat 
bladed screwdriver.  Put some painters tape on the surrounding paint so you 
don't scratch it.  Gently work it up from both sides, so not to kink it to 
one side and bread off one of the pegs.  Once removed, you can remove the 
barrel clips by squeezing the two side and lifting it out.  You should see a 
split in the barrel nut, and assuming that the split is at 12 o'clock, then 
squeeze at 3 & 9 o'clock.  Most times the barrel clips are broken in the 
process, but they are still available from most old car vendors.
