<VV> Lifter question

Joel, I don't know how common it is, because it would be cheaper to go
find a used case Than to pay someone to bore/ream those 12 holes and
install sleeves.
I could speculate the cases were milled wrong at the factory and this
was a repair procedure.

That brings up a question that I don't recall seeing here before. I
have a few cases that have sleeved lifter bores. Is that a common
fix/problem? My '63 makes a loose lifter noise that gets worse when
hot that I haven't been able to track down.

I've heard of worn valve lifter
bores also making noise.
