<VV> 1964 engine fan questions

My reason for asking is I intend to remedy the aforementioned mismatch of
parts to avoid any trouble it might cause.  A friend has what he thinks is
a 64 fan but before he ships it to me we want to make sure it is the
correct unit and also make sure my info on using it is correct.

1  Yes.. the center is smaller [ early bearing]..and the 4 bolt holes are larger?


2  Yes..  the top cover from any engine fits... with it's fan..
