<VV> radios and engine '61 lakewood

I finally got the engine in and running on my '61 Lakewood(not original) and tried the radio and didn't appear to work.  After setting a minute or so it came on.  I forgot that you had to wait for them to warm up back then.  However, it's only AM which isn't much use anymore, but unusual as the car had been setting since probably the mid '70's.I do have the original engine which I took out of the car.  It will turn over, but would probably need a rebuild.  It has the dipstick coming out the rear of the block if anyone is interested in it I would sell it.  I probably will not use the engine.
