 Beautiful car!!

Back to the super low profile tires and losing air. Not sure where this myth came from, but, a few facts may be in order.

Given the pressure in any road going tire and the total sidewall area, unseating the bead is pretty near impossible without the tire being flat. In fact, off roaders often will go down to less than 10 PSI and have no problems.

If you hit a serious bump, due to the low volume in the tire, the pressure will spike a lot higher than in a typical stock Corvair tire. You can obviously still bend the rim, but it's not as easy as it seems.

I have 45 series tires on my Subaru wagon. I have run this car on some pretty awful roads. No problems, ever.

For an early or an FC, I see the biggest problem with wide super low profile tires is dealing with the extreme camber change in the rear suspension. Meaning, at the ends of the travel, there won't be a lot of tread on the road!

I was just reading about Ferrari's replacement for the Enzo, the LaFerrari. The
specs say it comes with 265/30-19 front and 345/30-20 rear tires. I suggest
those of you that believe that low-profile tires like these lose air, and cause
all kinds of problems, should contact Ferrari immediately and warn them!
