<VV> Geez!

I also worked in the industry and used to read the same mag. It was great for tips on specific problems cropping up on specific vehicles.
One issue with it is that it is focused on newer cars with fewer miles on them (as it should). A car that's only five or six years old that has 2 or 300k on it is totally different from a 50 year old car. They are all water cooled also. No one can guarantee that all plugs are properly coated for our engines (I'm sure the alloy used in our head isn't the same as what is used in modern heads) and it certainly doesn't hurt anything to use anti-seize. A group specific to a particular car filled with many people that have worked on them for decades can easily have more relevant and accurate information as it applies to our cars.
I have used anti-seize but don't always and have never had an issue with a plug I've installed.

Hobbyist?

Maybe now, but I worked in the industry for years!

I did read the article in Motor also. Still get all those trade journals.

Always good to share information, just us old guys will still do what works best for us.

I guess I should have known better than to share something like the recommendations and years of research from the people who make cars and spark plugs in a professional trade journal for people who work with them for a living....
I guess they don't know as much as we hobbyists do. What was I thinking!?
