You have to have a Google Account to be able to make changes/additions to
the map.

JR: If you're worried about the safety of your cars, you could always place
your pin at a landmark/point of interest in the general area of your cars,
there is no reason to place them directly on your own street address.

I'm not a huge fan of Google, just make sure you Sign Out of your Google
Account after you've finished editing the map.
