I had to put a diode in T1 to keep power from feeding back.  Without it my '65 wouldn't turn off (the '65 system comes with a diode in it).  You can also just tie T2 back to the BAT terminal.  I had an ~'81 Buick Regal that was wired that way from the factory.

Hank, this is what I used to do my 62, I put a 2 wire internally regulated alternator on my car and it has worked great. If he/she needs more, let me know.
