That works for the driver's door, but on the right side you need to do
the mirror image, so it would be 7 to 8 o'clock. Let's say 7:30! ggg
This puts the window crank out of the knee path with the glass both up
and down.
Straight down is wrong (with window up).
You place the window cranks on the stems with the glass rolled up.
The assembly manual may have a different opinion, but this has worked
well for over 40 years of playing with GM cars of the 50s and 60s.
