<VV> 60 battery?

Lets see,
 You have a '60 with a 455 Toronado Drive train and you are worried about using a stock battery ?

 Sounds like one of the least of your problems.....

60 Corvair batteries sit higher then any other Corvair, I use a modified
holder to lower mine

I have been recommending Subaru series 53 batteries for earlies for a 
number of years. They are narrow, lighter and put out a reported 30% 
more cranking amps. They are about a 1/4" higher than the stock but that 
never caused us a problem.
