We fold up a thick blanket or two and lay the blanket down on top of  the 
tonneau cover where they will sit. Also I would put something down on the  
seat bottom OR request shoe removal by the "dignitaries". I haven't seen top  
damage, but I have seen surface damage on the seat bottom. Just ask them to
