  My son & I are taking a little adventurous trip to Riverside, CA to pick of an engine-less Corsa Convertible.  Though perhaps not the cheapest way to do it we are flying to LAX, renting a car to shop for a used truck to buy then driving it to U-Haul to grab a car transport to take the car back to Michigan with. Once home we will sell the truck (maybe). To help our fuel bill/rental fee we are wondering if anyone in the LAX/Riverside area has a bell housing, block halves, rear housing w/engine mount they would sell for cheap. This would allow us to rent the cheaper/lighter tow dolly. 

  Also, if you have a truck for sale or know of someone selling one that can tow this combination 2200 miles contact me off list. I've been looking on Craig's List and it looks like we could get a truck for between $900 - $1500.  Thank you.
