All of you guys make my front suspension rebuild and restoration on my
62 coupe this fall/winter seem like a small project! Mark Durham,

Off season projects? I've got enough to last me several years easily.

First I still have to finish stripping the 63 body and get it to the
scrappers. Missy's newly aquired 61 coupe needs a little of this and a
little of that, some dent repair, then paint. My 66 140+ Corsa was
suffering from poor running and a strange valve adjustment problem...
between that and Seth's awesome new book I have decided to pull the engine
this winter and go through it making many of the little mods Seth
recommends and making sure everything is right. I also want to repaint
that car and I have a new drivers seat bottom upholstery piece I need to
install. I'm sure I won't get to the paint but priorities might change.
I'm also hoping to build a body rotisserie before I tackle the paint prep
on the 66. Oh, and I need to install the Snow water injection and new
ignition parts too.

I've got the 62 coupe I'm assembling for dad mostly put together, I need to
iron out some electrical problems, do some body work, and paint it. After
that I've got that 64 convertible that needs prep and paint, and I need to
get an engine in good working order to put in it.

On the off chance I somehow manage to get all that done I've got my 65
turbo Corsa project waiting to be tackled. That car needs some repairs
I'll need to pay a body shop to make, a differential swapped in, eliminate
any mouse nesting, prep, paint, and an interior install.

Last of all I've got that 62 convertible project car to put together. That
car needs pretty much everything but the body is pretty good and I have
half the interior stuff for it.

Those are only the Corvair projects. In addition to all that my home built
simulator cockpit has been waiting for me to get back to major renovations
since I stopped working on it in March to put as much time as possible into
the Vairs while the weather was warm. I've also got a TON of Corvair books
and magazine articles to read and then there is my other winter hobby,
online team vs. team play using the aforementioned simulator cockpit. That,
unlike all the Corvair work, doesn't require burning up a lot of gas (which
equals money) to heat my work area. I got in touch with my simulator team
earlier this week and started getting back into the practice schedule which
is two 2 hour sessions per week. This year I probably won't get into much
more of a commitment than that with the sim guys since I just don't have
the time, still it's the one hobby at that costs me almost nothing so this
is what I focus on when I run out of money for parts and heat!

Better having too much hobby stuff to do than too little! Too many
Corvairs to work on is something you won't hear me make any real complaints
about.
