<VV> How long can I run it for?

There are black light dyes that can safely be added to the oil, clean off the engine add the dye and run it for awhile then you can safely remove the shrouds with the engine off and with a black light you should be able to pinpoint the leaks. Don't run it for too long or you won't be able to determine the source. Just pull off the lower shrouds first and you may not need to go further in your black light search.

Hi Bob,
You can run it without the lower shrouds on it without fear. Your heater won't
work very well though.
As far as running it without the top shroud, I have never heard of anyone doing
this. My guess on the answer would be "not long". Good luck.
