<VV> How long can I run it for?

Hi,
Based on what I have heard recently and my own gut feel I am fairly certain
I can run for 3 minutes or so. I will have my wife watching both head
temperature gauges just to be safe.
3 minutes should be enough time to spot any oil leaks.
Thanks everybody!
Bob

You shouldn't have any problem with a run of short duration, anything less
than
3 minutes, Bob.

I installed an electric motor on the engine with a belt connection to the
fan and during periods of engine warmup, I'd leave the fan switch in the off
position for a couple of minutes, until I saw head temps in the 250-300
degree range. It would usually slow the warmup stage, to have the fan
running at full motor speed, so it was a much quicker warmup with the motor
off.

I have since returned to the use of a regular belt setup, since proper
control of the fan motor speeds would have required a fairly expensive, high
amp controller.
