Welcome back!  Congratulations on giving yourself a great birthday present.

Since you're in the groove joining Corvair groups, I encourage you to take one more step by joining your local CORSA Chapter: Circle City Corvairs Club.  This is a great group who have a lot of fun together with several activities each year.  One of the biggest is right around the corner at the Hoosier Auto Show being held September 20 - 21. Well here I go again! My Birthday Present to myself was rejoining CORSA today!
 
I feel a little like the "once and future King" having been a member many years ago and finally getting up the nerve to rejoin! I have owned and driven many a Vair over the past 6.9 decades. I had to sell my last one a few years ago do to health problems. Those have been solved and once more I am looking for another 'project' if my wife doesn't object!!!
 
Being an old Hoosier I have been able to attend the Performance Workshops the past 3 years and have met many nice folks and learned a lot about our favorite car. I have been a 'member' of this list since it started but don't post much! I just sit back and learn.
 
I have a lot of great ideas of how to build the "perfect" Corvair but it will be a while before I get to that. All these years of "grunting" still no 'gold brick' nor will PCH give me $5K a week!!
 
Keep up the good work. I 'may' chime in once in a while (or maybe not?).
