The shorter tire effectively lowers the gear ratio and makes acceleration
much more enjoyable and it almost eliminated any pinging. I could have
gotten a shorter tire for my 16's but I thought it would be better to have
the taller tire for better gas mileage and lower rpm at highway speeds, but
now I wish I hadn't. I enjoy the car a lot more with the shorter tires.
