Back when we had the 4 Clubs at the Airport event in Buffalo. The host
hotel,(bad as it was) agreed to have a section of the parking lot cleared by
7:00 AM for our concours. The night before, they roped it off with caution
tape and stantions, and posted no parking signs.
Sure enough at 6:00 AM, there were I think 8 cars who ripped down the tape
and parked in the roped off area.

The hotel had a flat bed come in and move the cars, to a far corner lot not
readily visible from the original spot. And the lot was cleared in time for
us to set up.

2 of the cars were hotel employees, the rest were people who parked there
and walked to the airport to get "Free Parking" from the Hotel. The hotel
told me they were going to get their towing costs back when the illegal
parkers came looking for their cars.

In the afternoon, one of the employees had called the police to report her
car stolen. She was not happy to find it had been "moved" for her so we
could use "her" regular parking lot.

Anyone else remember Parsippany Corsa National outdoor flea market? Seems
some young dude parked his new BMW something where one of the vendors had
been on Saturday. Come Sunday morning we found a floor jack, carefully moved
the car out of the way, and set up shop. You should have seen and heard the
guy when he came to find his car. Great convention.
