The Negative cable from the Battery must be bolted tightly to the Engine Block! From this same point a "Ground Cable" (this can be insulated or just open-brad) must be bolted to the Car Frame. The Frame connection needs to be 'electrically clean' and tight. This cable needs to be the same size as the negative Battery cable (bigger is OK, smaller not so good). The "small" (they really are small) braided 'ground jumpers' that go along each side of the engine frame to the car frame cannot carry the current of the Starter Motor.

Dale- Thanks!! I'm pretty happy with the way it has turned out so far, with the exception being the ugly bending job on the clutch pedal. I'm working on another clutch pedal that wont have any of the nasty bends in it that the one that's in now has. Also, as I've found out, if you want
to do a hydraulic clutch conversion on a Corvair, picking a Late model to do it on is A REALLY GOOD MOVE!! much simpler!!
The reason's I didn't use a hydraulic throw out bearing is that they are a little more expensive than either a puller or a pusher type slave cylinder,
and, more importantly, the engine has to come out to install it. In my case, I don't have enough room in my garage to have the car solidly on jack
stands and have enough room to get the engine out, so that, for me, was the real deal killer right there. I agree though, the hydraulic throw out bearing is a mechanically super clean install.
