 Install the pump near the fuel tank. Remove the pushrod from the mechanical pump, and just let the fuel flow through it. That'll maintain stock appearance. Pretty much any electric pump that'll maintain 3-4 PSI will work. Decades ago, I installed a Vega fuel pump in the tank, worked very well indeed! Make SURE you have a leak tight power feed through!

Yesterday had vaporlock on Spyder with mechanical pump. Loose fan belt likely 
caused overheating. (Highway speed, 90 degrees). Today not pumping.
Told "all Spyders need electric pump as prone to vaporlock".
Open to recommendations on brand or type electric pump. 
Also can use installation tips to maintain stock appearance.
