<VV> Pix in "next part" of VV messages "re-sized" or linked as is?

Is there a maximum size that will be converted to URL, or will oversized pix
be "re-sized," and then the smaller resolution linked to the message?

That's why everyone uses JPEG!!   it Compresses the file size  while retaining the   picture Size  and quality...
