The switch on the shifter is for an automatic.
The stick shift one has a two pin connector in the tunnel, but if you say
the wiring's messed up, well...

Subject: <VV> 1965 BU wiring route

Trying to help a fellow club member replace his BU switch. Car came with
some hacked up wiring. New switch from Clark's has wire that is too short
to route it as originsl owner had. Assembly Manual Section 12 C6 shows some
switch set up that uses shifter. Never saw anything like that on a car.
This switch does in fact go into the trans. Anybody got a pix or diagram
showing correct routing? I know there is cnnector in the tunnel. Thanks.
