Since they used the flexible engine-speed driveshaft and a transaxle, 
that column-shift linkage must have been - really something...
The '63s used a heavier-duty driveshaft (and transaxle, I think)
'64s had a conventional trans and rear end.

I rebuilt a TempesTorque once - and it actually worked!
