One note - you'd think of AAA as a national organization, and it is, 
sort of.
But there are various sub groups - SoCal AAA has trouble handing off the 
the AAA around San Francisco - which seems pretty lame.
It gets done, but it isn't as clean as it could be.
On the other hand, when they dispatch assistance, all you do is show 
your card and maybe sign something.
No cash/credit card required.
