Every Corvair manual transmissions were "Saginaw's" just two different
models.

new in Virginia and we livein CA. The good thing was that it did not have a
smog pump since in 1966only Ca cars were required to have smog pumps. I
owned the car after my dadand do not remember a non syncro 1st gear. At the
time my Dad bought thecar, CA did not require a retro-fit of smog equipment.
