<VV> GM 1965 Corvair manual "Chassis Electrical" figure 47 and 49 issues?

Hmmm.

The errors in the shop manual took me by surprise also, then someone
showed me this:

It was probably Bryan Blackwell, since this is his site. Note lines 73,
74 and 75 address your comments.

The current, power, voltage, invisible black magic, whatever you want to
call it, that feeds the right or left brake lamp filament goes THROUGH
the turn signal switch. So, when you step on the brake, current flows
from the battery, through the fuse panel, through the brake light
switch, through the turn signal switch (where it splits into both a
right rear tail lamp wire and a left rear tail lamp wire), through the
body harness, through the engine harness to both the right and left tail
lamp bright filaments. When the turn signal is activated, the left or
right rear turn signal wire gets current and the appropriate lamp
lights. If the brakes are also applied and a turn is indicated, the
current from the brake light switch is taken away from the proper turn
wire (right or left rear tail lamp wire) and a on/off blinking signal is
applied to that rear tail lamp wire.

Helpful? Clear as mud?
