There is a channeled bar that slides into the pocket and is then screwed to the bow. Try the Corvair Ranch for a replacement.

Anyone know much about the convertible  top install on LM?? Wondering how to
install the center bow towards the front of car. The new top has a pocket,
and the bow looks like something would install in the U shaped groove. The
bow also has several holes for possible screw install. Any advice? Am I
missing a part? If so does anyone have?   Suggest possible alternative. Many
thanks for assistance. John Gull in Asheville NC  PS don't advise trying the
top install yourself unless you enjoy a tough challenge.
