Hi, Can anyone please tell me what areas to focus on (listen/look) at when
conducting a cylinder leak-down test to determine if the engine has a bad head
gasket?

This would be on a running, installed 110 HP motor in a 1966 LM coupe. Thanks.

Rich

Normally a head gasket "Chirps" when engine is first started, if leaking.... Normally you always re-torque the heads before trying to repair.

Testing is straight forward.;

Each cylinder on TDC compression stroke....... listen for air in carbs / exhaust / oil filler tube

If nothing then, it's got to be between the head and cylinder.
