<VV> Headlights not working??

John,
I agree with Bob that it is "probably" your dimmer switch. That's exactly what happened to me years ago when I bought my 1965 Corsa. After completing the purchase I started to drive home and stopped for gas before getting on the parkway. It was dusk so I turned on the headlights and found, to my disappointment, that I had only parking lights operating. No headlights even after many tries on the dimmer switch. Getting on the parkway I had a dilemma. I had to drive fast enough to get home before I REALLY NEEDED headlights but not so fast that the cops would pull me over for speeding and find out that "somehow" the license plates on this car were for a YELLOW 1966 Corvair while the car I was driving was actually a BLACK 1965 Corvair. So I could get a lot more than a simple speeding ticket. Therefore I drove only slightly slower than the fastest car I encountered and just made it home before it got dark.
Sure enough the problem was the dimmer switch solved by simply replacing it with a new one.
Good luck and let us know if that is your problem.

John,

There is no fuse. There is a circuit breaker. Try exercising the hi beam
switch on the floor--many times until the headlights come on. Chronic problem
in older cars with a floor mounted dimmer switch--especially in a convertible.
Been there--the first time in a thunderstorm, at night on a winding country
road.

I cannot find a fuse for the headlights on LM convert. The headlight switch
operates the park and tail lights, but nothing on low nor hi beam. Any ideas
would be helpful! Thanks for any help. John Gull in Asheville PS the
headlight bulbs are still good.
