I use a VERY LIGHT amount of anti seize on my plug threads. I also use it on anything that screws into aluminum. Like an old hair tonic commercial, "a dab will do you".

Small point - I believe that Brylcreem is less of a tonic and more of a cream perhaps even a pomade. 
The consistency of the stuff in the tube I bought recently is similar to that of a fresh new brush top bottle of antiseize.
