Ron,

I'm curious to know if you encountered any other issues with installing a '64 Spyder dash in a '60. I know that the glove box doors are not compatible; other than wiring, were there any modifications needed to make the instrument cluster fit?

When I installed a '64 Spyder dash in my '60, I did it this way: Since the dash came from a '64, and I was fortunate enough to have been given the dash wiring harness along with it, I had to consult the '60 & '64 shop manuals' wiring diagrams to figure out what color wires went where, and why. Then I had to come up with a plan for what I wanted and how to accomplish it. I had to trace out all the circuits for each vehicle, then merge the '64 wiring into the '60's. As an example of what I went through, the '60 dash had just two dash lights, and the '64 Spyder dash had 6! Hopefully you get the idea. It was very confusing and time consuming, but kinda fun. It was like putting together a big jigsaw puzzle. Since your wiring harness is already a mess, now's your chance to upgrade and improve things.
