<VV> Caveat and Question : Amazon as a source for parts

I just bought a starter drive gear from Amazon for $26 including 2 day
shipping (FedEx) and got the wrong part, of course.

I would have bought from Underground or Clark's but this was quick (ordered
on Friday afternoon, arriving Sunday morning!) and easy (they already have
my CC info, etc.)

Also what does the extra groove on the starter shaft do? (See pix on Corvair

The extra groove is most likely for another application...Delco  made Billions of starters..


Why didn't you just use the starter from your other car?  The Fast Ship... especially on Sunday must've tripled the price!


PS    We've bought  Complete  Rebuilt by Delco starters with solenoids  on ebay  a few times over the years as people clean out old stale stock  with FREE Shipping!
