Smitty Says,  If the car had showed up with Coker tires or Maxis tires with 
the proper white wall width would that have been acceptable to the 
classification judges?  How about if the guy finds a stash of NOS tires of 
an American brand bias plies that was never used by the factory for that 
year Corvair .  I do realize this is a sticking point of law but either the 
law has to be changed or in another 5-10 years there will not be a truly 
stock Corvair left in the world. Sooner or later somebody is going to have 
to pull their head out of their pucker pipe
