<VV> Replace LM Coupe Rear Glass - what kind of glue?

Thanks for both ~ good to know what lies in store for me!

- Easy peazy or hard, I'm OK ~ at least it can be done!
(I guess EMs have the rubber channels, so it's a different method, different
thread?)

The rear quarter window glass were a real bear to get out and back in, but
it had to be done, and that's over.
Here is my CorvairForum page for the "rear quarter window glass" job:

and my "1965-1969 Corvair Front Door Window Mechanism Details" here:

As for breaking the backlight, I do happen to have a spare that I bought a
while back when I thought I broke one but didn't!

Removing it should be easy enough, since it's already loose, and with a
second set of hands to guide it back in, that'll be OK too.

Now for the kicker : what kind of glue to use, and does it have to be
'heat-treated' or something so it doesn't blow back out with the 'lift' of
airflow over the roof line?

Thanks!
Charlie

Are you referring to the backlight, the one you see through when looking in
the rear view mirror, or are you referring to the rear quarter window glass?
I don't ever recall seeing a backlight that was loose in the body opening.
My general advise to people asking about glass, is to either find someone
with glass experience to teach you, or leave it to a professional. When it
comes to side glass, it isn't that hard to install, but it can be extremely
difficult to get it properly adjusted, so it works smoothly, and seals
properly. When it comes to backlights and windshields, they are easily
broken if mishandled, and the cost savings of doing it yourself doesn't come
close to the replacement cost, if you break the glass.
