Thanks for your reply, Bill.  I guess I'll give that a try. I heard 
through "Fisher's Fence" that Smitty ran wagon springs PLUS the 
transverse in order to handle the extra tongue weight of his trailer.  I 
wonder what the ride height looked like without the trailer?
