Exactly - the supports have to restrain you and the seat in a crash.
Obviously, the seats are designed to do that, but it would take some 
pretty beefy supports to mount the seats, to survive a significant crash.
Figure a crash can easily impose 5G on you - figure 5*(your weight) at a 
height of (the middle of you) yanking on that seat?
5*200 = 1000 lb about the lower middle of the seat. That's a pretty good 
yank on the mounds.

oh - actually the crash can be 10 G or more?
Adjust calculations as needed.
