Of course, I haven't checked the boxes with a magnet(!!) I should probably do that,
as they only "looked" like cast iron, from years of dirt and road tar☺

I have a 63 and it does have the original box as far as I know, and it is
cast iron- my 62 also has a cast iron box- they appear identical to me.
I'm wondering if perhaps the aluminum box went away earlier.
