Grant, I have never done it myself but maybe a bit of external heat on the outside of where the plug is, should expand the pipe a bit, then apply the compressed air. I'd work the air from the furtherest end from the plug so that if the plug moves, it would be getting closer to an outlet rather than going further in. If the plug jams again when it hits a cold piece of the pipe you may need to repeat the procedure on the new location. Good luck.
