I would use the same procedure as replacing push rod tube o-rings and just do 2 at a time and only remove the rocker studs.  Many people including myself have done this countless times and never had any issues.

I am replacing all lifters. Should I untorque all head  nuts or just the rocker studs? I have copper head gaskets and do not want to warp heads.
