<VV> CORSA at the Solo 2 Nationals

Hi folks,

We (Trevor and I) got back two weeks ago Sunday from our trip to the SCCA Solo 2 Nats.  As you might expect, a week of hanging out with over a thousand other car enthusiasts is pretty sweet :-)

The weather for the CP class, where the Corvairs of Charlie Clark, Dick Berger, and Aaron Holstrom run, was really good - we had no rain to speak of all week.  I had a chance to talk to Charlie and get a first hand recap of his well known Stinger's history, it's been quite a race car!  Aaron was the quickest of the three, even with some misfiring.  Dick just put on a fresh set of tires, but with no seat time prior had trouble capitalizing on the extra stick.  All three are looking forward to next year.

Our other members that I met weren't in Corvairs, but we all drove horizontally opposed engines, David Clemens and Michael Leveque drove to the event in David's WRX in D Street, and I co-drove one of the many BRZs in STX.  It was good to see some familiar faces at this really large scale event.
