<VV> Rochester HV - blowing out passages

I think I remember someone saying when you blow out the passages in the Rochester HV, there is a passage that may not get cleared unless you leave the mixture screw in it. Did I understand that right? And which passage doesn't clear? Is it the transition slot passage?
