<VV> Bell housing depth.

The early and late standard shift and power glide are the same except the late engine 64-69 has a slightly longer crankshaft, thus the late bell housing seal area is indented a little more toward the transmission.  Same goes for the bell housing for the late PG. The flex plate area for the late model doesn't have as deep dished area as the early also.  I've seen late bell housings exchanged to an early engines with no problems and vise versa.Jerry Brown
