<VV> Convention Host Hotel

G’day everyone,
I have just got off the phone to host hotel for this years Corsa Convention in San Diego.

The reason for my call to them was to cancel my hotel booking as there will now be no scheduled commercial airline flights from Australia to USA for the foreseeable future due to increasing spread of Corona virus within the United States. So I can not get there anyway.

To my total surprise, the hotel told me that my booking had already been cancelled along with ‘every other booking’ for the rest of 2020. After hearing this I asked the hotel two or three if they had this information right and they assured me repeatedly that no bookings were being taken during 2020.

So, I am happy to be proven wrong, but it certainly appears that this years Corsa Convention no longer has a host hotel. If you think you have a booking then based on my experience I would respectfully suggest that you probably don’t hold a hotel booking anymore.
