I'm sorry to report that our previous long time chair has passed as well.  From Dennis' FB feed (https://www.facebook.com/ddpleau):

"This is Michael, Dennis's son posting to let everyone know that dad suddenly passed away on the night of the 28th to 29th of November. Steven, myself, and all our family are missing him. Thank you for all of your well wishes."
