Funny you should ask - working on a Jaguar wheel project for 1969 right now.

Was originally going to use KENT  (15" x 6") wheels used on XJS (and others) 
from 1975 to 1987 which are similar to the the 5 spoke wheel covers, but 
decided to go with Sport Alloy (16"x 7") wheels used on XJS 1995-1996.

Wheels are 5 x 4.75" bolt circle and a larger hub bore, so an adapter ring 
does the trick.

For the 16", 205/55 16 tires give only a slightly larger rolling diameter 
than stock.
