Being a lifelong Corvair guy, you are likely aware that finding a '69
with a 4-speed may be a bit daunting unless you get lucky. 1969 Corvairs
were primarily Powerglides with a smattering of gearboxes in the mix.
More than a few had 3-speeds, mostly found in the 500s.   The 4-speed
'69s have been regarded as desirable cars for some time and most of the
ones in any kind of shape have been snapped up.    But, this is as good
a place to come looking for one as anywhere.    I've seen a variety of
'69s come through where I am.   Powerglides everywhere, including both
the '69s still living here.   Seen several 3-speed '69s in this area but
of all the '69s I've seen anywhere around here, only One was a 4-speed
and it was from California, belonged to a transplant who brought it from
there and that was years ago.

Welcome to the Old Dominion.   :-)   And good luck with the hunt for a
4-speed '69.   That said, a Sag. 4-speed fits right where a 3-sp may be
living.
