<VV> Sticky situationi

I attempted to help a friend change the rear view windshield mirror, but the repair person before me used too much glue and the mirror - which should be able to be removed by removing a set screw and sliding it off the mount - is glued to that mount. I am checking see if anyone knows of a solvent that might remove everything without affecting the glass.
